I hope all of you had an amazing relaxing Thanksgiving; I know I did. I spent the day with Alex's family and we ordered in Maggiano's. Alex's aunt is an amazing host and wonderful decorator. We each had a milk chocolate turkey waiting for us at the table. The food was amazing as Maggiano's really knows how to make delicious food.  After dinner we all congregated into the living room for some good old fashion movie watching. We watched Movie 43, super weird by the way and then we moved on to something a little more classic, Pulp Fiction. I am happy to be surrounded by such lovely people this holiday season.

Revlon Matte and Lacquer Balms

I have there 3 of the matte balms and 2 lacquers

Lacquer- Coquette

Lacquer- Tease

Matte - Audacious

Matte- Standout

Matte- Striking

Revlon is my favorite drugstore brand for lip products. The matte balms are my favorite out of the lacquer and matte balms that are new to the Revlon collection. I find the matte balms are semi-matte which is really wonderful because the balms are not drying to the lips like most matte lip products are. They are pigmented, easy to apply, feel nice and smooth on the lips, and last well for not being stains. There is a wide shade range and they can be found at Walgreens, CVS, Target, Wal-Mart, and other drugstores. They run about $8.99 which is a little bit pricey but just keep an eye out for BOGO deals and coupons. I have not heard good things about the lacquer balms. I found the shade Tease is a nice pigmented smooth shade that does not have much glitter. The shade Coquette however, does have a little bit too much glitter for my taste. The glitter is not noticeable on the lips right away but then the lip color starts to fade all that is left is the glitter, which is not cute.  If you don't like glitter I would say be cautious when choosing a lacquer shade.

Too Faced Be Merry & Bright

Set is $45 and comes with a makeup bag, lash injection mascara, and two palettes

Be Merry Palette: Eyeshadows left to right- Chocolate Moon, Brown Sugar, Bubbly, Buttered Rum, Very Merry, and Egg Nog

Right photo left to right- Peachy Keen (blush) and Spice (bronzer)

Be Bright Palette
Eyeshadows in both photos left to right: Starry Night, Mauvelous, Marshmallow, Sequin, Bright Eyes, and Wish

Left to right: Lollipop (blush) and Inner Light (highlight)

About a week ago I reviewed the Too Faced A Few of my Favorite Things set and I really really not impressed with the eyeshadows. I am much more thrilled with this set. I think the eyeshadows are more pigmented, have less fallout, less glitter, and are more easy to blend. Either palette has a matte blending crease color but I have found that the bronzer in Spice works really well in the crease. My least favorite shade is Bubbly which I find has a similar feel to the shadows from the Few of my Favorite Things palette. Chocolate Moon and Starry Night are really similar; I would have liked to see another more unique shade thrown in. All together I really do like this palette. I find the products are more user friendly. The palettes are small, compact, and easy to travel with. The mascara is not my favorite but I do find it works well at giving the lashes length.  The makeup bag in a good size, I was able to fit  both palettes as well as a full face of makeup including brushes. If you are interested in this palette you can find it at Ulta for $45 (http://bit.ly/1djbMz3).
